York College had a request to provide a Day Care Facility for their
transient students who wanted to attend classes but had no one to
attend to their children. The program required that the facility be
airy and attractive to the children who could be there for over six
hours per day.
Our designer created an open plan design and obtained separation
of spaces by utilizing interlocking book shelves that can be moved
around to change the size of teaching areas as required. A story time
section was designed with carpeted stepped seating that doubles as
an indoor play area. |
